If anybody has one and can back up its working state, I'd be interested in buying...

I have a G3 600MHz ibook for parts- stopped booting one day, meaning that it doesn't even start up when you press the power button. Was my parents machine, but now its been sitting in my closet. Basically everything is in there minus RAM, HDD, and combo drive. LMK if you want it for parts- I can go $100 shipped.

It still charges the battery when the AC adapter is connected and the battery is in place, so I'm assuming its not the mobo since its charging, but its up to you and selling as-is. BTW, battery and AC adapter not included.

I'm interested in selling. Just got one as part of a lot - tested it and it runs like a dream. Make me an offer!

Awesome!

Let's find something you think is fair, how does $90 sound, with a refund policy if it arrives DOA or is the wrong part? Shoot me a PM and we can finalize the price and details... My offer is only a starting place

Average shipped price for 12" 600mhz g3 logic boards on ebay (typically the lowest-priced source for logic boards) over the past 2+ weeks is $152.

I understand your apprehension about receiving a fully functional board; however, I have given up selling them on ebay because too many buyers either (1) don't understand ESD-safe procedures ; or (2) don't comprehend the more global concept of "delicate electronics" (and feel that things like flexing a board is "just helping it breathe" ).

I'm more than happy to discuss price (and include a warranty) if you can convince me you know what the heck you're doing inside an ibook.

I don't know anything about installing a logic board, but I'm friends with the Apple Certified Repair guy who works for a university campus at a big 10 University. He gets a lot of traffic and has an enormous amount of experience from doing this for years for the entire campus (30,000 faculty/students/staff here alone, I believe he also does work for the other satellite campuses), he can rattle off all sorts of information about just about anything, I have complete confidence in him. I was going to just pay him to do this work, the laptop is my wife's sister's.

If you want to know more about his credentials and the University in question, please PM me. I don't want to publish his name and other info here for privacy reasons

edit: he's done a lot of work on my own machines over the years (and that of family) and has never ever produced shoddy work. He's worked on a number of our laptops. He's cool.
