I have two pairs of iPod earphones that I would like to trade for one pair.
Now, before you tell me I'm insane, here's the situation:
I have a total of three pairs of iPod phones - two of the old style and one of the new style, which came with my awesome new orange 2G shuffle. One of the old style pairs is close to four years old, so it's a little worn. It has been repaired and works absolutely fine...it just looks kind of ugly since I used black electrical tape on the fix. Replace the black tape with white, and they'll look fine.
The new style pair my stupid effing cat chewed on, and ruined the right channel. I soldered the channel's wires and used white heat shrink wrap to cover it, so from a distance they look totally fine. Less than 1/2" of the original length was lost to do the fix. They've never been used for more than five minutes total, because my cat had her iPod-earphone-lunch mere moments after I actually opened the shuffle for the first time.
So. I'd like to trade my two repaired-but-fully-functional pairs of iPod phones for a single pair of the new style iPod phones in full untainted working condition. I'm hoping that there's at least one person on these here forums who has a pair of the new phones that they don't need (since admittedly you can get a decent pair for even $20 at Fry's that outperform the Apple ones), and might want to still have a pair of Apple phones to sell with an older iPod or something, either through the Marketplace or on eBay.
I'll even throw in my third pair of working, untainted old-style iPod phones if it's the only offer I get. You pay shipping on yours, I pay shipping on mine. You can probably get away with first class mail for no more than $1.
PM or comment if you can make me an offer.
