Did a search here, but it seems all the recent threads are for Rev B and C machines. I need a "What's it worth today" price. Two year old threads are irrelevant.
Your thoughts.

What is the condition of the computer? I bought one a few weeks back for $450 that was probably a 7 out of 10.

Are you sure it's 1 gb ram? I think that's impossible because there are only 2 slots? Your model PB shipped with 256 mb soldered on the board, hence you can only have 256, 512, 768, or 1.25. 1 gb is impossible to have?

Thanks. This one is at least that. Minor scuffs to the bottom, since this model is known for losing its rubber feet. All 4 feet are gone. No dead pixels or cosmetic problems with top case.
I had offered this machine to a college-bound coworker for $400, but the deal fell through. Now my sister-in-law wants it. I just wanted to know whether $400 is fair. I don't want to over-charge a family member, but also don't wanna give it away. Know what I mean!?

You're right. It's 1.25 GB of RAM.

i thought the 867mhz was limited to 640mb, but everymac.com says some third parties have been able to upgrade to 1152mb with a 1gb stick.

i suppose it's easy enough to look on the powerbook and see what the RAM is though.
and if it's family, i always give family a good deal. i usually take the least i can stand to take for it. which would be right around $350, so i don't think $400 is too much.
