I have a family member who is graduating high school and I need to get her a basic laptop
PIII 500mhz 128MB RAM/20GB/ and wifi if possible but not a must can add later and needs a 56k modem Looking to spend 50-100 dollars

Just need something capable of running windows xp so she can do her schoolwork.

I have an Indigo iMac to trade as well 128MB RAM/20GB/DVD 500mhz

600mhz, 128MB ram, 2gig hard drive (i might have an extra lying around), has a 56k modem.

Runs on Windows XP.

This thing has 2 batteries (1 working 1 untested)
