I got my Macbook Pro swiped 2 weeks ago and doubt I will ever see it again. This cost me $2000

All I can come up with is $500 (I have $400 and am sure I can borrow another $100 if need be). POSSIBLY, and I mean possibly, another $100 IF it's a nice deal worth $600!
I am really wanting to get something clean and at least 1.0 GHz or above that is capable of running Tiger smoothly. No Windows laptops please! Or old clamshells/pismos etc.
