Yep, you guessed it... dropped the Mac and cracked the screen. Looking online, prices range from $170 - $310, and that's for DIY repair. I am in Manitoba, Canada. Suggestions?

Ebay. You're looking at around US$250 or so. And brand new.

Well, getting the screen from eBay is not my best option, because I'm sure cracking open the bezel and messing with the display will void my warranty. I didn't think about this when I thought about DIY.

I found macservice.com -- for $400, they can do it, but that's gonna be at least two weeks of downtime for me, given the cross-border transfer.

I'm sure you can FedEx and they can FedEx it back.

Yea... just looked at the LCD install process... pretty complicated. If it was an iBook, it'd be quick and easy... less than 10 screws. Not the case with the macbooks.

Also found techrestore.com, which is looking like a very viable option as well, especially with overnight return. Gonna try my luck at the local Apple service store on Thursday and see what they say about fixing it here. Thanks for the replies, chipchen.
