Mods, feel free to lock this thread.

I am no longer selling. The powerbook will be on eBay in the coming weeks. Thanks to those advised me.

Sorry guys, I'm not sure how to answer either of you. As far as I know, it does have a dedicated 64 MB graphics card. I could be wrong though. How can I be sure? Also, I would be glad to look up whether its a Lombard or Pismo. I was told Pismo, however, I'm not sure what the differences are. If you tell me how to check, I will get back to you.

I apologize for my lack of understanding in those two questions, hopefully somebody can help me out. Thanks.

Pismo = year 2000 = FireWire & USB ports on back, 400 or 500 mhz
Apple PowerBook G3 400 (Firewire/Pismo) Specs (PowerBook G3 - Firewire/Pismo - M7630LL/A*) @ EveryMac.com
"ATI Rage Mobility 128 graphics with 8 MB of SDRAM"

Lombard = 'bronze' = SCSI & USB ports on back, top speed 400 mhz
Apple PowerBook G3 400 (Bronze KB/Lombard) Specs (PowerBook G3 - Bronze Keyboard/Lombard - M7308LL/A) @ EveryMac.com

System Profiler will show you what the video card is.

Is this YOUR computer or whatg
I find it hard to understand how anyone can own a classic powerbook and not even know it's nickname or specs, yet know for 100% certainty what software is installed on it .....................

And of course you will be including all the disks & activation keys for that Adobe suite, right ?

You'd be surprised. Not everyone who owned an Pismo was obsessed enough to know what it's codename was.

Updated the information at the top. Thanks for help. This is my girlfriend's laptop she asked me to sell. I did not become a Mac user until the Macbook Pros came out. Hope that clears things up.

It is a 400Mhz Pismo model.
I still can't find anything about the graphics card in the system profiler. I'm assuming it is a 128MB accoorinding to what davedecay said.

Good question about the discs, I added that at the top. She does not have the original discs anymore. I'm not sure if you could just copy the apps from the apps folder or not. I had to do that in the past with my Mail and iCal apps after deleting them.

Hopefully, this helps.

8MB v ram. That's what he said. Pismo v card can not be upgraded. Must be the old version of photo shop. The new one will make you see the spinning beach ball forever.

He posted "ATI Rage Mobility 128 graphics with 8 MB of SDRAM"

What does the 128 mean then? Still so very confused.

I'm not arguing with you, I have no doubt that I am wrong. I always am, lol.

It's ok, just the model #. Not like Nvidia Gforce 97XX, 256MB v card has 97XX MB ram.
BTW my Pismo has a G4 550MGZ upgraded CPU. Still cannot handle Adobe Photoshop fast enough.Even with a bigger faster drive and max out ram.

Thanks for your help wubrew. I haven't tried Photoshop much on here. I do know that she used it for her profession so either its tolerable or she's very patient.

Owning a Pismo is one thing, but selling one for someone else is another matter entirely, IMO......

If ya wanna be a broker for someone else's stuff, you should do some research and find out exactly what it is you are trying to sell, like maybe.......5 minutes on google

I'm sorry bowwowman. I did research and I thought I had everything I needed. I made a mistake. It's pretty obvious I forgot some criticial information, and at this point, that's clear to everyone I'm sure. There's no need to bring it up again.

If somebody saunter into this thread, will sure give the impression that we are ganging up on Kevin Dunahee. That being said we should advise him on the way to present the product without having to defend himself. Here is how I will do it KD.

FS- G3 Power Book for $ xxx

Now you know how I will have done it.

BTW KD. This souped up Pismo of mine will not get more than $ 350 ( if I am lucky ) eventhough it is worth much more than that piece meal. installed software = $0.00. I think $ 200 will be a reasonable price if you want to move it fast.
Good Luck.

Thanks for your help wubrew. I appreciate everything you've done on this thread. I am going to pretty much close it up here and see if it sells on eBay for the price you suggested. Thanks for your time!
