FAQ
Q: $610.00 savings. That's better than student pricing. Seems fishy...
A: Bulk discount. DMA (Digital Media Academy) negotiated a discount with our reseller (Stanford University Bookstore) on top of the normal educational discount due to the quantity of computers we were ordering (30 MacBook Pros and 50 iMacs). Since we're now selling at cost back to DMA attendees (they had first dibbs) and now the general public, you get to purchase it at cost as well.
Q: What's with the free iPod shuffle? Seems so random.
A: Normally, it would be an iPod Nano since we are an educational program, however, since we're selling our stuff to the general public at the end of our program, our reseller wouldn't allow us to have the free Nanos normally offered to students and faculty. So, they gave us shuffles to include with the computers instead.
Q: Can I pick what color Shuffle I get?
A: Yeah, just forgot to put the check boxes for it on the order form -- we'll be fixing that soon. If you email "info AT digitalmediaacademy DOT org" with the subject "iPod Shuffle Color Choice," a copy of your receipt, and your top two color picks, we'll take note what color you want. Since we only have limited quantity of each color, we'll try and get you one near the top of your color list.

A: Yes. The computers' price includes the full 3-year AppleCare extended warranty.
Q: What software does the laptop/iMac come with?
A: They come with OS X 10.4 and the default bundled software.
