Powerbook G4 1.67 GHz, 1GB RAM, 80GB HD, DVD±RW, 15" - (eBay item 160148936570 end time Aug-25-07 13:50:00 PDT)

============

This is an auction for an Apple Macintosh PowerBook G4, 15", 1.67GHz, 80GB HD, 1GB RAM with SuperDrive DVD±RW. What an amazing computer. This has been my baby since I purchased it from Apple in late April, 2005 (when it cost $2299). It's served me well for my first two years of law school and I'm replacing it only because, as a matter of habit, I replace my laptop every 2 years (selling to satisfied eBayers each time!). This machine works great, is running the latest MacOS and can handle any program that doesn't require an Intel processor. I have been very very pleased. It has a full gig of memory, so things run smoothly. Includes original box and materials (install disks, power adapter, power cord extension, DVI-to-VGA adaptor, modem cord, S-video to standard video adaptor). It has a new battery, replaced by Apple's recall program. This machine is covered by AppleCare until 4/24/08.

To prepare this machine for sale I reformatted the hard-drive and reinstalled the original system software. Then I upgraded it to OS X 10.4 (Tiger). Then I downloaded and installed all system updates. Then I installed iLife '06. Then I downloaded and installed all system and application updates again until Software Update said the system was completely up-to-date. Now the system is running OS X 10.4.10

(more info & tons of pics on auction page)

Thanks for your interest--it's a great machine. Unfortunately, I can't add Buy-it-Now prices after the item has already received bids.

I really don't know. That's why I like auctions, so that the market can decide what it's worth. I'm anticipating something between $750 and $1k, based on completed comparable auctions, but I start all of my auctions at $1 and never set a reserve. So, to answer your question, I'm willing to sell it for whatever the high bidder is willing to pay. Sometimes my auctions go a little higher than average because I put so many pictures and provide extended descriptions. But who knows? Thanks again for your interest. I'd definitely welcome your bid.
