My PowerBook G4 recently stopped working, it does not turn on and there is no startup chime. I don't have the time or money to attempt to fix it, so I'm getting rid of it and replacing it with a new MacBook. Specs are 1.33ghz, 1.25gb of ram, 60gb hard drive, combo drive, AE/BT. How much could I get for this, and would it be better to sell it whole or part it out?

It's probably just the PRAM battery or CDRW drive. disconnect both, reset PMU and go from there.

If there's no damage to the unit (dents, cracks, etc).... You can have Apple fix it at a flat rate. $325 or so US dollars (since I notice you're in Canada). Then you could use it or sell it.

The value working is probably around $700 at the most.

Broken you can probably get up to $300 for it.

Parted... probably... ($150 for LCD, $100 for various casing parts, $30 for combo drive, $15 for airport card, $30 for hard drive, etc, etc...) about $450 if you spent the time and effort to part it all out, and if you found buyers for everything.

Also, consider this... as a new or rare user here... and since you're from Canada... it might be hard to find buyers without going to ebay.
