I'm selling my MacBook Pro so I can upgrade to a new laptop that comes with Mac OS X 10.5 pre-installed. I have sold iPods and Macs on these forums before, and have good feedback. I also have great feedback on eBay if you'd like to see.
Here is some more details:
Specs:
MacBook Pro 15"
2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2 GB RAM
120 GB Harddrive
Has remaining warranty
No dents, and no noticeable scratches
No known hardware problems
Included Software on DVDs/CDs (NFR):
iLife '08
iWork '08
Garageband Jam Pack (Voices)
Logic Express 8
Other:
Brenthaven Leather Edge II Case for 15-inch MacBook Pro [ link]
I'm asking $2000 shipped to anywhere in the U.S. for everything. Feel free to make other offers, and I will consider them. I accept personal checks, money orders, and cashier checks, but all must clear before I ship. I can do Escrow (via escrow.com) if buyer wants, but buyer has to pay the fees for that.
If interested or if you have any questions, please send me a private message.
Thanks!

Just curious... the money you would lose by selling this would be about equal to the cost of just buying Leopard ($109 from Amazon)
Why not just buy Leopard?

Actually, I think I would loose a lot more. I wanted an upgrade anyways and it would be nice if 10.5 came installed on it.

This is the last I will say on the matter, but here are my thoughts:
If you sell this at $2100 ("IF" is key here), you will probably have about $2050 after paypal and shipping. With this $2050, you could buy:
- A MacBook Pro 15" 2.2 Ghz ($2118 after tax). So you would end up paying about $68 for a slower computer with an OS that you can buy for $109 off Amazon.
You could also buy the 2.4 GHz version of the 15", which would leave you in the hole more than $400, and you would be getting a barely faster computer and a $109 OS.
OR you could not sell your current computer and for just $109, you could install Leopard (all you have to do is put in the DVD, and it's the exact same thing as it would be if you had it pre-installed).
Sorry if I'm missing something big here, but it just seems worthless to me to basically sell this computer for a nearly identical one just to have an OS pre-installed, when for about the same amount and a lot less hassle you could just buy and install Leopard (just pop the disc in the drive and it begins installation)

I like having the latest and greatest, plus the main factor is the new ones can hold more RAM. As for paypal fees.. that's one reason I'm not accepting Paypal. That and that there are tons of scams on Paypal that I don't start to understand.

This seems like a bit of a simplification. Sure the CPU would be slower, but he'd be getting some tangible benefits as well...... a significantly better GPU, an LED-backlit screen.

This is what I do also. Try to upgrade with new versions of OS X.
I like to have the latest and greatest as well. For the $300-$400, it's worth it.
I make that initial investment in the first machine, then save up a few hundred $ and plan on upgrading within the year.
Might be smarter choices financially, but it's a luxury I'm willing to pay for.

It's a for sale thread, he's not asking about if he should sell it or not, he just wants to.
