Okay, I know it says I'm a fresh-faced recruit, so here's the explanation: I used to post here as marcuscorder, but my password is no longer valid and since I don't have the email address I used to create that account five years ago, I can't use the forgot password feature. Anyway.
For sale is a Sharp mini-dv camcorder, model number VL-WD255, with all the accessories (battery, charger, remote, cables). It is in basically new condition, as I bought it a couple of years back with the intention of doing some short films for class as well as using iMovie, however this hobby never got off the ground and I only used it about seven or eight times total. It's been sitting in a camera bag for the better part of the last couple years. It has firewire output, and I'll include the necessary cable unless you already have one.
A couple of nice things about this particular model: it has a 26x optical zoom, so you can actually zoom in quite a ways before it starts going digi on you. Also the LCD is 2.5", and after using my brother's newfangled Sony sith a 1.8" screen over Thanksgiving I can tell you it's much easier on your eyes.
I also have a few mini-dv tapes lying around, and I'll try to find them and get an exact number, but I'll send those too. Battery works great, in fact I've never actually worn it all the way down. Price: $150 shipped (USA) OBO.

Great if you want an inexpensive mini-dv camcorder to capture those precious holiday memories! Seriously, this is a nice little camcorder that I wish I'd used a lot more, or had reason to.
