John,
It's a Star Tech pci card. The G5 towers are finicky about usb pci cards. If installed in the G5 tower and something is plugged into it, the computer will not wake up from sleep. The usb device will work, it just won't wake up from sleep. As far as I know, no other Macs with pci slots are affected. I'm not sure about the Mac Pro. The box says it's Mac OS X compatible.
