I'm wondering whether to sell my Smurf Tower or not.

It is a Blue and White G3 450 with 256MB of ram. It has a SCSI 36 Gig HD, DVD-RAM drive, & 100MB Zip Drive. -All Apple factory intalled. I installed a Radeon Card in it. I figure nobody will want that Rage 128 thing. The monitor is a matching Aqua/Blue 21" Apple Studio Display. It's gigantic.

The only problem I've ever had with the entire system was a clicking zip drive which was replaced by Apple techs.

I was going to give this system to my brother when I got my G4 iMac. He saw what I was getting and ordered practically the same thing.

So what sort of ballpark figure should I be asking for here?

The Smurf by itself should be around 700 +/- 50 based on ebay prices if it sells. The monitor is $250-300 and shipping would be extragant and effortful so look locally. If you're not able to sell them as a package locally, I'd suggest splitting them up and selling whatever way you prefer.

BTW, what city of pluto are you on?

That's still a very competent computer. I have the 400 mh version of that model. It runs MacOS 10.1.2 sufficiently fast, and is easily upgradeable. If I had an extra one, I'd give it to one of my kids as it has a few more years life left in it. I think your brother is crazy for not taking if from you. Hey....I'm willing to be adopted into your family. I'd be your brother for that computer

Would you consider a trade for a TiBook?

Sorry,

This system was just bought by one of my neighbors. Thankfully, He's being nice enough to wait to pick it up until Wednesday. Thank you for all the offers/help/info. Thanks.

Eccent, I live in the boonies on Pluto. I'm not a city dweller.
