Is it new, used, or refurbished? Is it Yikes(G4 on G3 B+W motherboard)

Smalldog.com has refurb for 1199.00 (G4/400 MT 64/20gb/DVD/56K/Gigabit)

Wow, studio display is a 21" crt.... big.(originally $1499)
Looks like they replaced that with their cinema display.

I don't know....

It's not a bad deal compared to the original prices + upgrades, but it is used equipement. If its a yikes(i have one) box its 2 motherboards old by now. Yikes have slower memory access(on a 100MHz bus) than the Sawtooth 100mhz board or the newer UMA1.5 boards 133mhz. Also the yikes one has a single usb channel with 2 outputs whereas the later ones have a seperate bus for each port (allowing more peripherals per port).

Personally, I'm gonna get a new machine this summer and maybe make this one a server. It's not slow but I want more .

Yes, that is a very good deal.

Most after-market Mac dealers would probably charge you in the vicinity of $2000 for that setup.

I have access to a killer setup that's for sale. G4 400MHz Gigabit Ethernet and a 15" ADC Studio Display for $1750 including tax. Both are brand new. Speak up if you are interested.

~Peace~

Actually I was wrong. I found the comparison information on apple's site. It appears to be a sawtooth. But I have to wait to go back to work to see if it's gigabit or not. I don't think it is though.

WOW! That's a pretty decent deal....The 21" ASD alone costs over $1000!

I guess what you will have to worry about is warranty.....
