I've had my B/W G3/400 for about 1.5 years now, and I'm wondering how much I could get... Here it is:

G3/400, 40 GB hard Drive, 6 GB Hard Drive, 1 GB RAM, 16X DVD, Que Fire! CD-RW 8x4x32x, Rage 128, Zip, Microphone, Pro Keyboard

A few notes:

The burner is X incompatible. A new firewire card for the machine would be needed.

The machine has a Sonnet IDE controller (ATA/66) which pushes twice the bandwidth of the standard controller.

This has been my little baby... but I'm itching for a G4.
8 Core 2.8 ghz Mac Pro/GF8800/2 23" Cinema Displays, 3.06 ghz Macbook Pro

:drooling:

Wow, nice machine... to bad the Ble-and-Whites are so trouble-some. I'd buy it if I had the cash. I'd say its worth anywhere between $800 and $1100.
New sig coming soon. Yes, it will violate the sig guidelines :p

Sorry to say, but I think the machine itself is worth $700 tops, especially with broken firewire. The Que Drive does bring the value up, but I think you'd have better luck selling it separately. On ebay, I've seen fully functional B/W 400's go for $650 (without your add-ons).

Anyway, good luck selling it. I own a B/W 400 and it has been a reliable machine.

Maybe off topic here, but are you saying the Blue and White G3s are problematic? Dang! I'm saving up for one. Sigh...

What sort of problems are they known for? I used one for several months at a previous employer and it worked great, although I seem to remember a firmware upgrade problem that was resolved.

I have a similar setup (see the sig) and I have had little to zero problems with it since I bought it 6 months ago. I've tweaked this puppy beyond the point I thought it might choke, but it's totally stable and very reliable...even more so than the G4 450 I'm using at work. Gotta love it

GoMac: I'll keep my eyes and ears open for anyone wanting such a machine...it may be too powerful for the simple folks around here, but I'll do what I can. Best of luck!
