Does anyone have, or know where I can get, a dead iBook?

Sure... I'll throw my fully-functional iBook SE at the sidewalk, dance on it, and back my truck over it--I'll even video tape the whole thing--if you pay $1000 in advance.

Awesome, that'd be great!

The check is in the mail ...really it is. Just send me the tape and the 'book, and the money will be there in a couple days,

Brian - that might not do it. With my iBook SE 366 I have...

1. Thrown it across the room from the top of my bed during a fight with my little brother,

2. Dropped it from the top of my stairs, all the way down, till it clunked at the bottom, and stopped,

3. Fell from my night stand while playing music over night, landed ontop of the de-humidifier, and closed itself.

So far, the computer is not injured in any way, cept for the annoying hard drive noise!

So i think you may need to do more with the computer than what you think. You should try shooting it....

wait, the iBook is made from bullet proof plastic, that won't work either. Sorry, I guess you're just out of opitions.

I say we start a contest to see who can actually destroy an iBook, and who can do it in the most creative manner. One with cash prizes in several different categories and stuff; maybe even a trophy. I bet we could get it sponsored by MacAddict or someone like that.

Wow! It sounds like you have really put your iBook to the test. It is good to hear that it stood up to all of that abuse, but I am actually glad I was able to sell mine to some people who will give it a good home instead of destroying it.
