i want to buy a good clean working powerbook 540c.
this is going to be my primary computer so i want it in good working order.

it must have a working AC adapter
it must have at least one working battery that holds a charge for more than one hour
and id really like one that has the ram maxed out to 36MB or whatever it is.

im also willing to pay a little extra if the seller could pre-load AOL 3.0 and claris works 4 on it. It would save me tons of time.

email me at gumby5647@yahoo.com
all who reply will get a reply back. Just dont expect one right away. Im out of town practically all of july. But email me with your specs and your price and ill get back to you. promise.

like i said earlier, this is going to be my primary machine, so be nice, i don't want a keyboard with keys falling off or a scuffed up screen etc.

why don't you sell the imac so you can get a low end ppc powerbook?

3400s aren't much. 5300s will be cheaper, maybe even an origional ibook.

phantom regiment? weren't you guys in Skokie's 4th of july parade? If thats the case then I saw you..

Having been the proud owner of every PowerBook since the 170, I would beg you to avoid anything earlier than the Wall Street G3 models. You'll be frustrated beyond belief, locked out of anything modern.

Unless you want it for writing letters or a novel, search for an early G3.
Since EBCDIC
Using Macs since they were Lisas.
