+ PowerMac 7100 with these specs:
- 2GB drive
- CD-ROM
- PowerPC 66Mhz (Sonnet G3 upgrade card running 0S 9.1 at 266Mhz)
- floppy drive
- 40MB ram
- SCSI, ADB, AAUI
- Audio in/out
- OS 9.1
- original ADB keyboard and mouse
+ Sonnet G3 Crescendo upgrade with the optional AV/HPV card video adapter
+ ethernet adapter
+ external SCSI Iomega Zip Drive
+ external SyQuest 270MB removable drive
+ 4 never been used NIB 270MB cartridges
+ Mac OS software cd + others
+ original boxes, cables and manuals for everything
Let me know if you need pics or have any questions.
If there is anything that you want separately, make me an offer. Just thought I'd open it up to my macaholic comrades first.
I'm currently using the 7100 with a Sonnet G3 upgrade card running 0S 9.1 at 266Mhz with zero problems (this card and adapter alone cost over $200.00). Sonnet currently offers G3 upgrades @ 400 and 500MHz for the PowerMac 7100. So if you want to upgrade it even more, you still can. I can leave the existing software on the drive for evaluation purposes, including Photoshop, QuarkXpress, Illustrator plus others.

Thanks for sticking up for my little guy Tristrami. This ol' mac is certainly not "worthless" especially with all the extras included. I've been the only owner and I have upgraded it nicely. It still runs all of the OS9 apps like Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark fairly well. I'm not saying it's the fastest PowerMac in the bunch but it'll make someone very happy.
Like you said Tristrami, if I no one here is interested then I'll part it out on eBay. The G3 upgrade by itself is going for over $100.00 on eBay. I'd like to get more than $200.00 for everything I listed above. Thanks.
If anyone is interested in all or parts let me know.

It has very little ram and a paltry-sized HD. Anything will run Quark...
But I might buy it for $300

With EVERYTHING that I listed above, I would like to get close to $450.00 plus shipping. With everything included, there's going to be at least 3 large boxes to ship.
If you don't want everything, and there are just a couple of items you do want, please let me know which and how much you'd like to offer for them. I'd like to keep everything together for ease of shipping to one place, but let me know. All reasonable offers accepted.
Let me know if you need pics of anything.

No chance, 300 is fair and a good sell for you. Anything above that and you are pushing it. And with 40 megs of RAM its a pretty slow machine to run 9.1 on.
And speaking of that, you say 9.1 on the HD but is that the OS disk you are selling with it?

Yeah, I had seen that auction on ebay for the G3 accelerator for $139.00 and that doesn't even include the av/hpv adapter card! RAM is pretty cheap on ebay right now too. Anyone could pick up a couple of sticks of ram for almost nothing if they wanted to add some more.
Both of these 2 auctions are for 72 pin SIMMs and are really cheap.

And I think that everything that I have bundled with it adds a lot to the price. This is a complete system, ready to go right out of the box. I just wanted to offer it up here first before parting it out on ebay. I'd like to see it ALL go to one happy buyer. =) So please let me know if anybody is interested. Thanks.

I'd take his offer of $300 or perhaps even just a little more...It's a fair price to forgo the hassle of eBay...the tradeoff is your time and effort. And knowing that your (undissected) old friend is going to a good home: Priceless.

Matt, when you say "at the moment" what do you mean? When might you? I can throw in some more "eval" software too, if it helps.

I really want to buy it, how about you give me two days? If I don't get in touch with you in two days email me and I will give you a definite answer. I do need a computer (this is for a friend actually), but I'm just looking at another (laptop, which my friend prefers), but its starting to look like a lemon.
Ok, I'm leaning towards yours now I do need the ram maxed out though (atleast 128 MB).

Well, my friend is buying the laptop Still think this machine is swell and I would buy it, but I don't have the cash. If the laptop doesn't work out I'll look at it again.
To everyone else: its a great Mac, fast enough for games (with a little more RAM) or anything else you may want to do (except OS X). Coudl also work well as a server.
Good luck selling it

I had a PowerComputing 132 with a 375 Sonnet G3 card in it. It ran like a raped ape but I couldn't sell the thing. I ended up parting it out and made $225 on eBay. Not bad, eh?
Might try doing the same thing--but forget the monitor. Nobody wants to pay $50 to ship those heavy things.

Sorry man, but if you haven't unloaded it in five months it should tell you something about your asking price.
Its not gaining any value and every time you put it off it depreciates. You may as well put it on eBay because your price will not be met here.

I know it's been a while but this is still available. I have been using it still but it is time to let go, for good this time. I'd like to get 250.00 for everything or let me know if there is something specific and I can look at breaking it up.
Pics of the accelerator card and video adapter below.
Happy New Year!

You asking price is a little high don't you think? I'm not trying to crap your thread but for your asking price a person could get a G4 tower or a very nice G3 B&W. You should have took the $200 that was offered in 2002.

I wish I could have taken that 200 back in 2002, I never heard back from that guy.
Soooooooo, just like I said in the previous post.... any reasonable offer would be great. I had to start my pricing somewhere. If no one wants it, it'll go to GoodWill. No big deal. Just trying to make another Mac User happy.

I'd say swap out the processor for the stock one and send it off to Goodwill. The G3 upgrade and HPV adapter are the only things in your package that are worth anything, and even those aren't going to get you very much. I mean, you can get complete beige G3 systems for $50 these days.
So yeah, not meaning to thread crap, but there's no way you're getting even $100 for that stuff. It would probably be a good idea to throw the processor and video adapter on eBay, though, since Goodwill isn't going to know the difference.
