I posted this a while ago and got virtually no response; I hope people don't mind me reposting. I am leaving LA in less than ten days for the Midwest and do not want to take all my old macs with me -- a couple of them are heavy.
I have:
-a Power Mac 5400/200
-a Performa 550
-an old powerbook (powerbook 145)
-a Macintosh IIsi with apple color high-res monitor and an external CD-rom drive that makes you appreciate how far computers have come in a decade.

The first two run great, but the last two probably need a new system install - I get the question mark on start up.
Please someone take these off my hands -- otherwise I will have to dump them which would be sad. I know they are not the world's most desirable computers but they ought to appeal to some Mac collectors. Just think, if you have only one computer, you could quintuple your collection overnight. If possible I would like someone to give me 100 dollars for the lot - I'm sure you could get that for the Power Mac alone on ebay. But quite frankly I just want them out of here and so am very negotiable indeed. Only thing is, you have to come and get them - and soon - as I no longer have a car and I am not carting these things to the post office. So please someone in Southern California pick these up, as I hate to throw them away - especially the Power Mac, on which I wrote my PhD dissertation -- that would hurt a bit. Please email me asap. Pete

Are you sure you won't ship it? If you would, I'd be able to take these puppies off your hands for an offer you can't refuse! Email me:

If I lived in LA, I'd drive you to the Post Office, Pete. =)

Ha ha...

The round-trip plane ticket would be much more than the value of these machines.
