I am looking to buy a rev 2 B&W G3. It needs to be 350 MHZ or faster with DVD. I ve decided to give my old Starmax to my little sister if I can get a good deal.

Russell, what price range did you have in mind ??

Just curious, since I have one which is well upgraded in many ways, is in very good condition, and very very stable. But I have been considering a new G4 after MWNY, depending on what new things are introduced.........

Would really like a DUAL 733

Original Specs are:

rev 2, 350mhz /175 --- overclocked with jumpers to 450mhz/225, still have factory jumper block if needed to revert back to 350

32X CD ROM, Zip 100 internal

6GB Maxtor 5400 prm ATA/33 HD

128MB ram, plus all the standard stuff (enet, USB, firewire, 56k internal modem, ect ect...)

NO DVD though

17" B&W ASD

Still have original keyboard, but my wife spilled tea on it and some of the keys dont work, even though I took it apart and dried it out as best I could .... Replaced it with a MS Internet Pro KB)

Sold the puck mouse, after replacing it with an Intellimouse

Still have the original boxes also

Added the following over the last 2 years......

1 - 15GB Maxtor DIamondMaxPlus ATA/66 7200rpm HD, (main boot drive)
3- 20 GB same as above, BUT CANNOT SELL THESE, too much stuff on them

768MB of PC100 2-2-2 Ram from DMS

Sonnet Tempo ATA /66 controller card (PCI)...(best $99 I ever spent ! )

Belkin 2 port USB PCI Card, and 4 port USB hub.

Small heatsink fan over the CPU

Currently runs OS 9.1 with all current system updates.

One last thing though, I painted the handles, front and top covers and the G3 letters with a dark royal blue spray paint, and the power button, CD button, the large Apple on the door side, the small apple on the front, and all the mounting screws with gloss white porcelain enamel.....looks VERY cool, so much more so than the origianal greenish blue

please let me know if you want to discuss it further.......
You can have me mac when u pry me cold, dead fingas off da mothabowd

muttfree,
I'm looking for a 350 Mhz rev 2 because I want a G3 with hardware DVD coding. So I am specificly looking for one with DVD. I am also looking for a G3 that has not been upgraded too much. I plan to add all my extras from my starmax that are transferable. Sorry, i'm not interested in your G3.
