Hi gumby5647,
Can you wait until after "Mac-World" ?
I have an : iMac DV 400Mhz LIME / 192 meg`s of ram/ 15Gig HD
PLUS the lime "keyboard" has never been used and neither has the "mouse" Plus (if I sell / check after M-W) you can have the "blue" keyboard I`ve been using. O-BTW the HD is a Maxtor that was installed new last August (by Comp-USA) and the Battery has just been replaced as well.

Gumby, I just e-mailed you, in case that iMac doesn't come through! Hope something works out!
The short shall inherit the earth. Just you wait. You won't see us coming. We'll pop out from under tables, beds, and closets in hordes. So you're tall, huh? You won't be so tall when I chew off your ankles. Mofo

Hey gumby,
I JUST BOUGHT an apple refurb Indigo 450 DV+ w/stock 64mb plus a third party 256 that I put in myself.

So, here's the deal:
Indigo ,slot loading DVD, 450 DV+
20gb HD
320mb of RAM
All the stock software.
A copy of X (10.0) retail + a 10.1 update CD + 10.1.5 combo updater (that I'll burn to CD in case you are on a slow connection).
A CD's worth of downloaded freeware and demo software (Dev Tools, Snapz Demo, Tinkertool, WMP for X, various browrsers .. all the most common X downloads).
I'll have to erase and zero the drive to make sure I haven't left any personal info on it but that means I can partition and/or reinstall the 9 and X systems in any config you choose. I have a DSL connection so I can also run ALL the standard updaters iTunes/iPhoto/IE/anything else you want pre-loaded.

Since its an "official" apple refrurb, it has the balance of the standard 1 year Applecare warranty ('bout 10 months left on it right now).
It is in absolutely perfect condition (had a broken keyboard when it arrived but Apple replaced with a brand new pro keyboard) . With the extra ram and recent OS updates, it actually runs X pretty darn well (It runs 9 like a bat out of H#LL).

I'll sell the whole package -- STANDARD UPS GROUND SHIPPING INCLUDED -- for $450.

Bottom line: I bought this in early April to replace a 400 DVSE that had burnt out firewire ports that caused the machine to not boot into X (and I couldn't use my external FW burner with it either). My thinking was that it would "tide me over" until I was ready to spend a lot of money on a super-tricked-out FP imac or mid-level tower. With the eMac now available (announced 2 weeks after I got this and opened to consumers just recently), I think its just about the perfect machine for me (well, I wish the consumer model had a DVD drive .. but its otherwise exactly the right combination of what I want and what I really need). Plus, I'd rather have an ACTUAL $450 bucks in my pocket to put toward an eMac than waste my time trying to "wheel and deal" the extra $100 - $200 dollars that the machine + ram + retail OSX is actually worth.

If your other deal falls through, please email me. If anyone else is interested, I'm open to other offers as well.

Also (conditionally, if I sell the iMac) up for sale:

Formac 24x10x40 CDRW (no longer needed if I get an eMac): $75 + shipping. (** works great JUST MAKE SURE TO USE THE INCLUDED POWER SUPPLY ... accidentally running it off bus-power is what killed my DVSE's firewire ports).

iMac DVSE 400/128mb/13gb. Won't boot into X and firewire is disabled but it runs 9 just fine. Could be used for spare parts (Apple slot loading DVD drive, HD, right speaker, cosmetic plastics, 128mb RAM chip are all fine). Make an offer that is worth the hassle of getting the packaging down from the attic, packing up and sending (ie at least $100 + shipping) otherwise I'll just give it away (or sell it for $50) to someone around here .

I'm EXTREMELY BUSY at work for the next few weeks, so the only time I will have to prep/package any of these machines is on a weekend. So, if anyone is interested, please realize that I will most likely ship on the Monday AFTER the week we reach an agreement.. Also, I'll want to make sure that a reseller has an eMac in stock and is ready to ship it to me before I can afford to let the iMac go.(so this weekend is probably out of the question).

Seeking eMac fund-age,
Krusty

I
