I was unfortunately on the raw end of an eBay deal of purchasing a Wallstreet Powerbook with 13.3" screen. The seller said he never had a problem with it before, and so would not pay $300 for Apple repair to fix the rather annoyingdisplay cable problem. I've tried opening it up, reseating all of the connections and taping them down, but the classic 13.3" display problem refuses to go away!
My parents and I have decided that the only way to make my rather expensive purchase (which they now see as incredibly foolhardy) worthwhile is to find someone willing to part with their 14" display from their Wallstreet, which does not exhibit this problem. eBay is not going to get me the assurance that I want.
If anyone is interested in the 13" display in return (I'm sure someone more computer savvy can really work wonders with it, the video cable is undamaged, it just comes loose and everything is intact), I'm willing to part with the 13.3" display and cash in return for the 14".
Is there anyone out there willing to help me out and regain some of my parents' trust? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
