That's certainly better than the $1000 max price I saw in the classifieds just befor christmas.... 700-800 was average round here.(Seattle) But I still don't want one.....

Yes but crap compared to the retail of $299 which I see now as the new units are hitting the shelves...my buddy here got one last night.

That crap is behind us...

Psh don't waste your money, waste it on the gamecube or the xbox or something, heh... well so they aren't out yet but thats besides the point.

I think the Gamecube and XBOX are gonna be nice. It's been a while since I checked up on them, but I know that they will kick the crap out of the PS2, graphics wise. The one thing the PS2 has going for it is the games....they have a lot of developers. I'm just waiting to see what the Gamecube and XBOX are all about.

I remember something about Microsoft saying the XBOX will be moderately priced..am I right?
