A reader has advised that a few Sam's Club (wholesale membership chain) has iMacs (rev D) for only $520 brand new [unconfirmed].

I called around a few Sam's Club and the lowest price I was able to find was $699 which is still a great price. I'd also suggest checking your local CostCo for discounted iMacs as well.

If you do find low priced iMacs at your local Sam's Club and/or CostCo please post the price and store location in this thread to keep our valued readers better informed.

Thank You.

I went to Sam's Club in Medford, NY and found only $699 iMacs. I also went to BJ's Wholesale club and found none at all.

In what state were these alleged cheap iMacs seen, anyway?

Many items that "wholesale clubs" sell are not authorized by the manufacturer. They sell the items at good prices, but if you buy one and it has a problem, you'll have to pay for it because they don't have manufacturer's warrentee. Be careful when buying "big ticket" items at these stores.

You can purchase your iMacs at Sam's club and be guaranteed that the warranty is good. Apple had thousands of the 333 iMacs still in stock when they announced the new DV models. Apple first contacted all the authorized dealers though email notifying them if they wanted any 333's they should get them quick, otherwise Apple was going to find other methods of "disposing" them. Apple then sold all the remaining stock to Sam's (and I think CostCo also got the opportunity). In the exact words of Mitch Mandich (Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales Apple Computer, Inc) all these computers, (only iMac 333's) purchased though Sam's Club qualify for Apple's 1 Year warranty.

The Costco here on the island of Hawaii has 333 Rev D's for about $869, the last time I was there, and they're warrantied. Has had them for about the last month.

The Sams here in Atlanta (Clairmont) had them cheap - i think for $599 ($699?) about a month ago- but last week they didn't have any...maybe they'll get some more since Apple announced the "new" line.

I just got the last one in Boyton Beach, Florida and had to talk the guy out of it that was "thinking" about buying. I had to "Think Different" and convince him that a "Wintel" machine was for him.

Then, after I succeeded, I found that the price on this Tangerine 333MHz model was only $524.91! Saturday, Feb. 26th, 2000.

I noticed $699 iMacs at the Sam's in St. Charles, Missouri, two weeks ago. There weren't many left, however.

About these "cheap" imacs...what are the specifications? I mean, are you getting a great computer here? If so, I'll buy one off anyone who got one from there!

Everything is mosr costly in Hawaii.

It is ILLEGAL for Apple dealer to refuse service any units that are designated for sale in the United States (domestic unit), regardless of where you bought it. Computers all have a time-stamp on the back. If you don't have a receipt, they'd go by the manufacture date for warranty purposes.

Mike Seinberg has spotted blueberry iMacs (333) in Albany, New York brand new going for $599. He also notes B/W G3 450 (128MB RAM) for $999.99

Check your local CostCo, Sam's Club, Best Buy or Fry's Electronics for significant discounts on this iMac.

Anthony the PC lover - EveryMac.com has very <a href="http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/stats/imac_333.html">detailed specs</a> for this iMac.
