Anyone want to get rid of that old Mac? I'll buy it, and offer you a good price. I'll also pay shipping! Tell me what you got, and we'll talk business. G3s and G4s need not apply...

I have a Special Edition Woz IIgs that I've been thinking of selling. It's in great shape, very clean, with little to no color variation across the case. I'm not really sure what it is worth but if you name a price I'll consider it. Thanks

Check this one out:
7300/200 (was a 180, but I had a new Newer 200 604e card)
360MB RAM
One 4GB and one 2GB hard drive, both internal.
External Zip Drive (almost new)
Apple 17" monitor
ATI Nexus GA video card (I believe it's 8MB)
Extended Keyboard
Mouse
All in great shape. Make me an offer but don't insult me!

Hey guys, thanks for the replies, but I need to see some prices in your postings. I dont want to waste my time with some guy who's selling his broken Performa 550 for $500 bucks, you see.
Anyway, I like what I see, but remember that I want OLD macs, not relatively-old ones. Im not looking for giant monitors and zip drives and DVD players, just basic old macs that work slowly but surely. Thanks! Keep the offers coming!

Jaisun,
I am very interested, but the shipping costs would exceed the price of the computer! I figured that by calculating a package thats 50 pounds that is 2'X 2'X 2'. Thats from my area code in Massachusetts(01887), to yours, in Oregon (97330). Are those measurements accurate, or does it weigh much less?

I have available:
- IIci with 20Mb RAM and a Daystar 040 Turbo with cache, and internal 250 Mb HD.
- RasterOps 19" display with Colorboard 740(?) 32-bit graphics display plug-in board
- Both include all cables and are in fine working condition. RasterOps includes it's original packaging container (even includes it's own mini wooden pallet). I think I have the original packaging for the IIci, too.
- There's also an external 170Mb HD with cable and power cord, in perfect condition, that I'll include (if it's of any interest to you) at no extra cost (except shipping cost with the IIci) if you're interested in acquiring both the IIci and RasterOps.
About 10 years ago, I paid over $6000 for the IIci, and over $3500 for the RasterOps.
Now asking about 2.5% of IIci's original cost ($150) and 4% of the display's original cost ($140). Yes, shipping for the RasterOps may be substantial, especially considering this is coming out of the 98000 ZIP code area. Take it or leave it.
(Doing this by email would be much more convenient, btw.)

So, does your lack of response, thus far, to my post regarding the IIci mean you're not interested?
I misread your original post stating that you're not interested in large display monitors, so disregard my info on the RasterOps.

Oops!, sorry Mr. Magic Cow! Yes, I am interested, but your computers are a little pricey. I should clarify myself when i say i want really old macs that dont have many great features. The more basic, the better. Therefore, I dont expect to be spending so much on such an old system.
I see you are firm in your offer, "take it or leave it", but i must say that unless you take 75% off your offered price, i am not interested. Are you willing to bargain?

NOTE TO ALL:
If you are misguided and distrustful of my name in the process of selling your Mac, please take comfort in knowing that I prepay for all Macs with money orders. No scandals here!

Anthony,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I've been really busy lately. Anyway, the IIgs is much less than 50lbs. I'd say it weighs more like 10lbs (when I bought it, it was shipped from the midwest for under $10). I'd say the total w/shipping to your ZIP should be in the neighborhood of $50. Also, I'm soon to get my hands on a Mac SE 30, a Mac IIci, and a Mac Classic. I'm not sure what those are worth to you but if you're interested let me know...BTW they all seem to be in good condition but I have yet to test them out to see if they will run or not (or have any outstanding defects/flaws).

Jaisun,
If you gimme the exact weight (stick it on the scale in the bathroom), and then the Length, Width, and Height of the computer, we can talk some serious business.

I have a Macintosh SE30 with 16 MB RAM and 80 MB HD with OS 7.1 diskettes (I had dowloaded for free OS 7.5.3 and can burn this on cd for you, of course there is no CD drive in this SE30). I also have a Radius Full Page Display to go along with it. Someone gave it to me because they didn't use it anymore and I have had it boot up a couple times. I just don't use it. With it I also have an old APS 2 gig HD that connects to it (it's huge).
I will be willing to let it ALL go for $50 plus you pay for the shipping and packaging (it will have to be taken to Mailboxes Etc. to be packaged carefully).
Let me know!

Anthony,
Okay, I now have some specific details on the machine: 11.25"x/4.5"y/13.75"z/9.5lbs. I talked with a rep. at a UPS/Fedex drop-off and he told me the shipping cost would be $20.38 to 01887 and would take just about a week for it to arrive. Of course that $20.38 only covers shipping (not packing, insurance, etc.) but I pack all of my items quite well and no one has had a problem yet (frequent eBay buyer/seller; user name: jaisun...if you felt like you needed some reassurance). Anyway, let me know what's up. If need to email me for any reason (ripleyg@ucs.orst.edu) feel free to do so. Thanks

Anthony,
How 'bout $25? I now realize that my initial price of $35 was a bit on the high side, but I don't think that $25 is unreasonable. It's feels good to haggle

I'm terribly sorry jaisun, but i didnt mean to type $20 bucks in my last post. It was a typo. I meant to type $10. Im really sorry, but I wont take it for more than 10. And now, thanks to "shyne", you can see that even if it was factory-sealed brand-new still-in-plastic it would only be worth $20.
(which of course means no to your $25 offer)

ok that is it, Anthony the peecee lover, the jig is up.
you say "i pay top dollar"... well, top dollar on that llgs is about $20 bucks and you offer $10.
you say you bought a new performa 550 for $30 dollars, PREPOSTEROUS, and DO NOT CLAIM A TYPO again, that is pure crap.
the estimated street value on a 550 is $250 to $300 dollars and you were offered TWO of them for $250...
you have been constantly warned of your abuse of the forums, all the admins have been made aware of you and your games.
you have nothing of any real value to contribute and persist in playing your games, and when someone calls you on it you feign innocence, and act indignant.
there is an end to tolerance and you have reached that end.
this forum does not welcome your posts.

so Anthony, post your BUY/SELL needs but please be as responsible as you can, ok? maybe lay off the sugar and caffeine a little?

Anyway, I got something for you Anthony. How about a PowerBook 5300. B&W screen, 8 megs, system 7.1.1. I have no idea what it's worth, and don't really care, so tell me what you'll give for it.
