first they sent me the wrong chip, then the replacement came too slow, and I bought from another vendor. Now stuck with extra chip. Have not taken out of wrapping to test. Will fit in top slot on Rev A-B imacs, also Rev C&D imacs. Vendor advertises this also for Powerbooks, I have no idea.

$65 plus shipping, payable via Paypal. Email me with questions. If it doesn't work I will help you firebomb MacSolutions.

Did it actually register 288 (256+32) in the Apple System Profiler? It's been so long, I don't remember.

I have the same config.. so I can vouch that it does register as 288. I have a Rev C iMac.

Search the iMac forum for the reason why I asked...You will find many reasons to boycott MacSolutions.com/OneMemory.com (same company).

hey bockie... don't worry, I'm not referring people to macsolutions... I would not buy from them again, precisely because A) they didn't send me what I asked for the first time, B) made me pay shipping to return it, and C)took 2 mos to send me the replacement. Additionally, when they sent me the replacement, they "forgot" to credit my account for the difference in price between low profile and regular ram. (I called and got them to do it... )

That is not to say that this replacement won't work, I just haven't tested it in my machine, because my machine is happy now, and I don't wanna take it apart again! the 256 I bought from memory X works great, registered properly, and imac is chugging with 288 mb...

If someone is interested and wants me to test it, I will...

I am selling it for cheaper than you can get new ones at memoryx etc...
