The unit functions fine - I've used it as my main PDA for about 6 months. Backlight works and the screen is in pretty good condition. There is one area of the screen in the bottom right corner that has more wear than the rest (from an application this was used for, I guess) and isn't noticable unless you hold it just right in the light.
