Hello,
I'm purchasing a new quicksilver G4, and would like to do "on the fly" cd burning from one cd-rom drive to the quicksilver superdrive. Since I can't add another cd-rom drive to the quicksilver tower itself, it would seem that I have only one option, and that is to use an external firewire drive. Problem is, I don't think they make external firewire cd-rom drives. It appears that I have to buy a burner to get the external cd-rom capabilities. Or perhaps I can find a cheap enclosure and slap a hi-val 52X cd-rom drive ($30) into the enclosure (i'd have to check out compatibility issues).
Anyway, if anyone here has a cheap firewire enclosure they'd like to sell, or if anyone has any other ideas how I can get a low expense external firewire cd-rom drive, please email me.
thanks,
lw
