Would you consider donating your PowerBook or old PowerPC Mac to a school? I run a publications lab at St. Helens HS in St. Helens, Oregon. We take in any and all laptops, piece them together and use them for our reporters. We also use PowerPC Macs.

I complete high amount donation receipts for all equipment for your tax purposes. This will not help you with cash in your pocket but it will usually provide two to three times the amount in a tax write-off. I use everymac.com and uce.com for price determination. I include in the donation receipt the shipping cost.

If you are interested, please reply and I will send you my school address.

Thank you,
R Barnett

That's cool, but just as good and more simply would be to donate to local schools in a person's own area. Plus it would more directly benefit the community one is familiar with. And they too take Macs.
