Well, I just got an iBook so the trusty old Comet must go to make room. She's a beauty, too.

Standard 180 MHz 603ev processor.
Standard external floppy drive.
10 GB hard drive (MCE installed).
Cardbus enabled (MCE upgrade).
112 MB RAM thanks to a custom 96 MB module from Japan, professionally installed by, you guessed it, MCE.
YuPlan translucent blue keyboard (MCE installed).
Original keyboard included.
Two batteries, one excellent, the other fair.
Madsonline slimline AC power adapter.

Currently running OS 9.1 and solid as a rock.
$850, shipping included anywhere in the lower 48.
I prefer PayPal, I'm verified. Use PayPal and I'll make it only $825

As much as I'd love to take it off your hands (and I've been looking), 2400c's spec'ed nearly identical to yours, with a G3 upgrade even, rarely get over $700 now. (even new in the box) Perhaps a trade for a G3 tower?

I considered the G3 upgrade but with the price of the iBooks now that would have put my cost well over that mark. Anyway, for simple stuff like mobile email the stock processor is fine. I'm looking for cash or perhaps a Wallstreet PB. If I don't get my price on eBay, which looks like a longshot, I'll just keep it. In fact, I'm using it right now with an Orinoco WaveLAN card. Aahhh, wireless cable modem service! What do you suppose I'll get for it on eBay?

I dunno..

The ever fluctuating hardware value barometer that eBay is, suggests somewhere between $699 on the high end (package w/ upgrades, PCMCIA CDROM,etc.) as a Buy-it-now, and somewhere in the mid $300's. I guess it all depends on how the Apple retail portable market is looking. The threat of a new iBook can't be good, but there's none of that. I suppose it's also still near enough to "Back to School" for there to be a demand for quality portables. There are a few card-bus enabled machines there, as well as ones w/ the Yu-Plan kbd. You've got the edge w/ the big drive and mega memory. Easily high $500's, I'd say. You could probably even push into the 6's.

Weren't you trying to sell this a few months ago? Get any nibbles then?

I sold a Wallstreet a while back, and I have one more of those to sell as well. I did offer my Comet before I upgraded it but the bids were all low. I guess anything over $650 now is probably enough that I'd sell. Of course, the magic of eBay could get me even more.
