That price is only OK if it's canadian dollars. The reserve is likely the price of a new iBook. DON'T GIVE THIS GUY A FREE iBOOK. GET A BRAND NEW iBOOK FOR YOURSELF!!! It's more stylish, has a sharper screen, is more rugged, has firewire built in, AIRPORT, and at least 1 year of warranty. Not to mention that it's also faster, and gives you a free upgrade path to OSX.1

Think about it. The CDrw drives this guy is selling are next to useless. 2 speed! Come on man, that's 36 minutes to burn a disc. Yuk! For a 100 US you can get a nice 12 speed unit and slap it in a 30$ external case.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, you can get a superior product --new from apple-- for what this guy likely has as a reserve!

I'm not sure what happened to matsu's breakfast, or who crapped in it, but man, lighten up. this was my second powerbook. already have a pismo. i'm just trying to auction my original computer and the peripherals that i had with it. why don't you let people decide what things are worth to them? i'm all about consumer advocacy, but don't try and paint me as dishonest or trying to swindle people out of hardearned money. in short, don't be an a$$.

What's the reserve on that item?????

I bet it's at least a thousand.

Why post it in this forum? eBay has enough of it's own following. Do you contribute to this forum, or are you just here to sell stuff??? If you do contribute, perhaps you could use your usual user name. WHAT MIGHT YOU BE HIDING??? Instead of using a promo picture on your auction, why didn't you post a picture of YOUR powerbook? MIGHT YOU BE HIDING SOMETHING??? At the very least you should post a pic of each side of the book and the serial number ought to figure prominently in one of the pics. This way if there's a problem with book, the pictures are online at eBay and the buyer has some remedy.

I'm not stopping anyone from making their own decisions, they just NEED to think about the fact that they CAN get a NEWER, FASTER, SMALLER, LIGHTER, SHARPER, WARRANTEED!!! product for a price that's already in the ball park. The only thing they give up is a PC Card slot. But do you really need one??? NO. Everything you need is built in, and the few things that aren't are available via USB or Firewire.

Your peripherals are WORTHLESS, no one in their right mind should pay for them. Your COMPUTER isn't worthless but neither is it likely worth your price of admission.

I wish I could post to this thread on eBay. Anyone know if it's possible???
