Anyone have a use for a non-working Sony Spressa CRX100E/X2 CD-RW drive? If so you are welcome to it, but you will have to pay for shipping or pick it up in the DC Metro Area.

Here is the story of the drive:
1. Bought it on Ebay in March
2. Bought a Iomega drive for less from CompUSA after rebate before this one arrived
3. Listed this drive on Ebay, winner needed some time to send $, then canceled purchase when he got a better deal at a store, luckily still have drive
4. Sold drive to some PC guy in Canada, I tested it before I sent it, works with packaged software but not with Toast!
5. Canadian could not get it working, it seemed semi suspicious.... Refunded him his $.
6. Got drive back, after not messing with it for some time I try to test it. Some problems booting with drive on, diffidently not working with the newest Toast.. Next thing I do is plug it in with the power on and I get a big arc at the power plug...
7. Now drive turns on but will not eject the CD, it looks like it is diffidently TOAST now...

I'm sure it is just good for parts - if there is such a thing these days.... It will come as is, with no power cord and no USB cord.
