I'm looking for an old mac tower. Clones may due as well. It need not be fully loaded, I am not looking to spend very much money. If you've got one kicking around let me know. One thing I am looking for is a 604/604e processor, so those 8100 towers are no good for me.

Hmmm...how much are you offering? I have an 8500 sitting here on my desk just taking up space. I actually have 3 processor cards for it: the 150MHz 604, a 233(?)MHz G3, and a 455MHz G3 card that is the currently installed card. Let me hear an offer...

Full specs:

Power Mac 8500
150MHz
1 gig hard drive
160 meg RAM
running MacOS 9.2

Bought January 1995 ($3300)

I'm not going to separate the other 2 processor cards from the machine so don't ask me to. If that won't work for you then I am sorry.

Well you may have to, who is going to buy a machine with 3 processors when you an only use one? Not me for sure, because I'm only looking to spend in the two digit range.

You won't find a 604 proc in the two digit range, but if you decide to offer a reasonable price and he takes it, I'll take the fast proc card for my 8500 (no, I'm not selling it)

I've seen MANY go for under $100 on ebay, ones with the original processors.

why are you giving me the eye? this is my thread! I though I'd look for a deal in teh buy sell forum, in addition to looking on ebay. Ill gladly pay more for the computer to not have to put up with bitchy people like yourself.

<hr /></blockquote>Yeah it didn't meet the reserve price because it was another seller who thinks the fact that he paid $3000 for it years ago has anything to do with what its worth now. fact is people were only willing to pay $46 for the thing.

I had a 3rd party CDR in my 7500 a while back, and had no trouble booting off of it. The CD ROM is ONLY a 12X, even though thats 3 times faster than what it came with! The case isn't perfect, but who cares its what 7 years old now? And it needs an ADB mouse, another $9? I can see why you'd except to see this machine in a dumpster

And that wasn't attitude, I was trying to make a point, you'll only sell with 3 procs but you can only use one, whos goona wanna pay extra for something thats either goona sit on a shelf or that they're going to have to turn around and sell right back on ebay?

It's obvious you aren't going to get one here, so this thread is closed before the bickering gets any worse.
