Heyas, I'm thinking of selling my G4. It's a 400/896/20/CDRW-DVD Combo Drive. Also I'm giving a 17" monitor with it. How much does one think that I can get for this machine ? I would also be giving the buyer ALL of my mac software, as if I sell this machine, I'm going back to PC's. I'm tired of going to the store (best buy, compusa) and finding a lot of great stuff that is PC Only. Let's face it, PC's rule the market, and they always will. Bill Gates will see to that. Anyway let me know how much I can get for this machine, and if you are interested send me an email. I'll give you the full details of everything included there. Thanks!

I hope you're joking. I mean, go ahead and sell the machine and buy a Windows box...that's fine. But don't just give up 'cause you can't find anything for your Mac at ChumpUSA. Have you tried shopping online? If you don't care for online shopping, there should be an Apple store fairly close by. Besides that, most hardware is Mac compatible...obviously, software is a different story.
Honestly, I'm in the same boat you are...but I continue to by Macs (have 4 now, looking to buy my 5th soon) and I'm not overly concerned about not being able to find stuff for them at my local geek-store.
Sorry, but it sounds like you've caved into peer pressure...your story is a bit of a cop-out. If you really liked your Mac, you wouldn't give it up so easily. Just MHO...
In any case, good luck!

Jaisun, It's not that I don't like the mac. Ive been using them for about 6 years now, and i've owned 6 so far this year alone. It's just the fact that there is a SERIOUS lack of software for the mac (mostly gaming) Sure we get ports of games, and a few ports are quite good (AoE II), but for the most part we are the so called "red headed step child" of the community. Take Roxio Toast. We are still in Preview 2! CD Creator for XP was released the SAME DAY that XP shipped. Every few months at a macworld conf. Steve talks about why the mac is so great, then parades all these software execs telling us about upcoming titles. Yet, the companies fail to deliever. Adobe (as well as others) are taking their sweet time porting their software to X, and a lot of the games that are suppsoed to run in X barely do it at all. I'm not saying the Mac isnt great, I'm simply stating the obvious..there isn't 1/3 as much gaming software available to us as there is for the PC. Destineer says they are bringing MS games (like Flight Sim 2002) to the mac, but don't offer ANY progress updates or ever begin to talk about a release date. Black and White is a totally different story. WHY would you take a game that is 2-3 Years old and bring it to the mac NOW ? If OS X is going to be the best platform for games, then Apple needs to get these developers off their a$$. This of course is just mho. Take Care.
