I have my new iBook SE firewire posted on ebay under the seller name P_WhiteJr@hotmail.com. If anyone is interested in making a transaction outside of ebay email me. The iBook is brand new, its almost a month old and has barely been used. I didn't realize I couldn't afford it until after I bought it, so if your interested please email me, I'm not going to give any super deals like 200 off original price, so only email if your serious, Thanks

Let me explain Economics 101 to you, my friend.
You are offering a relatively new iBook that anyone can buy, anywhere right now for how much less? One can usually get some extra RAM or other incentive when buying new - your's is used no matter how little.
Computers and most other items depreciate immediately after you buy them. I suggest you make an offer that "nobody can refuse" if you're in that big of a hurry.

I'll make a deal to you slboett, how about this, I offer you an iBook, with a guarantee of no dead pixels. Including a name brand 2-2-2 128mb ram upgrade and the assurance that everything works fine. Now brand new a product like this is priceless because apple doesn't guarantee that there are no dead pixels. But lets set the brand new price at 1799 just for kicks. A lot of people are going to be paying at least 6% sales tax on this so that ups the price to $1906.94. Add to that 128 mb of additional ram sale price at least $115 from a viable supplier plus tax also equals $121.9 + $1906.94 for a grand total of $2028.84. Now if I were looking for a good deal like at outpost where most don't have sales tax this price would be lower around $1920, so lets split the difference at $1970 total. So you could pay $1970 for an iBook that comes straight from a warehouse or somewhere around $1700 maybe less for a month old one with a guarantee of no dead pixels. So $270 off for a slightly used ibook I believe would be a good deal, and if I could afford it, then I would definitly go after it. But I guess you would rather go to outpost and get a fancy carrying case with your Brand Brand new ibook, or a free 64 mb of ram with a 40 installation cost. Yeah I sure if you look hard enough you might be able to find a better deal, but that won't be for another six months or longer. Sorry my price wasn't low enough

Hey slick if you look around you can find great deals, better than yours. A brand new unopened iBook SE w/ Free Shipping and carrying case from outpost.com for 1799 or how about one w/ free ram from macwarehouse or macmall. Don't get mad because no one wants ur used mac.

I'm not mad Yosemite, I just don't understand how a one month old mac is such a terrible thing. I'm sorry that everyone has this idea that if you get your ibook from outpost you get no sales tax and the ability to return no questions asked, its just not true. Yes there is no sales tax for some states but not all, and they don't accept returns on apple products. If you would rather have a *brand* new ibook with a brand new case, that it probably won't fit in, all the power to you, or maybe you'd like that free 64 megs of ram that costs 40 bucks to install, go for it. I just don't see why every one thinks i'm such an idiot for asking a reasonable price for an ibook with 192 mb ram. After all aren't all ibooks created equal, or is it better if you say you bought it new. Hell, most of the people in here probably drive used hondas, why not fork out the extra cash for a new one. And if everyone is so smart, how about everyone just email me what they think would be a reasonable price to sell a month old ibook with 192 mb of ram for. p_whitejr@hotmail.com

when i make a purchase i tend to go with someone with a good rep and a good price. You are quickly destroying the first. You sound like a little kid who can't unload his pokemon cards. Calm down and it will sell.

good fortune come to those with good attitude.

pdoubs,
In your initial post, you mention no price but go on to say "...I'm not going to give any super deals like 200 off original price..."
That was what I was responding to. You can ask whatever you like for it - I've seen people pay more than retail on eBay for godssake.
Mac folks are p[retty nice, in general. But, if you cop a 'tude around here - it'll get you eternal flames!
So, what's your price?

slboett,
my price for the ibook is @ $1500 to $1600 probably determined by the method of shipping. If you are interested I think I also mentioned having a 128mb ram upgrade. $1500 is 300 off the original price but I am in a crunch and i'm kind of waiting on the end of the bid at ebay. Please if you have interest email me, and we can discuss it.
