I'm selling it to get a G4 tower so I can install SoundBlaster Live!, which is the only way to take advantage of my Monsoon MM2000 4-satellite speakers!

Specs:

* PowerPC G3 500MHz
* 640MB SO-DIMM (128 + one 2" 512MB module)
* 20 GB Hard Drive
* ATI Rage Mobility 128 with 8 MB SGRAM (supports monitor-spanning that the new iBook does not!)
* 56K V.90 Modem
* Build-in AirPort antennas: 2.4 GHz; 11 Mbps (gets burst speed of 700kbytes/s in my home switched LAN with a Compaq PC).

Original Box Includes:

* "Yoyo" AC Adapter
* Composite-to-S-video adapter
* Macintosh monitor adapter
* Expansion bay weight-saving module
* One lithium-ion battery: 5 hours advertised, 2.5 hours in real-world use with all energy saving features OFF.

Built-In Features:

* Dual USB Ports (independent USB buses, 2x12Mbit = 24Mbit bandwidth)
* Dual Fire Wire Ports (again, independent Firewire buses)
* 56K V.90 Internal Modem
* 10/100 Base-T Ethernet
* 4Mbit IrDA Infrared
* CD/DVD Drive Speed: 24x/6x respectively
* One Type II CardBus Slot

Software CDs Included:

* Apple Hardware Test
* PowerBook Software Install
* PowerBook Software Restore
* AirPort Software Installation

Extras:

* AirPort Card (bought for $99 from Apple)
* Bootable AppleCare CD with TechTool Deluxe (from a friend who got two of them from Apple).

Warranty:

* Limited 1-yr Apple warranty until September, 2001. Buyer can purchase two
more years of AppleCare Protection Plan
any time before the 1-yr warranty expires
(Outpost $299, Apple $349, look it up on
shopper.com for best deal on AppleCare.)

Asking $2149 + actual shipping.
Make your offer to: polaris@spam.guard.iname.com (take out the 'spam.guard.').

PS: I had OS X installed but erased it because I think the usability is poor compared to 9.1. (I'm addicted to control strips =D) I can put it (updated to 10.0.3) back on if desired. The darn thing took over 20mins to install alone.

Part of the reason you haven't gotten contacts yet may be your lack of information in your profile - there's no e-mail address, contact info, location, nothing, in the profile. Web selling is a very touchy subject, and most people will not buy something unless they're very, very sure of the seller.

I myself would be interested in buying it, but would want to at least see a picture first... tried buying a Pismo awhile back but was sorta screwed over...

Thanks, funkboy. Advice taken.

Can I email you offline?

I don't have a digital camera or a scanner.
I can borrow one but that'll take a few days.

Just edited the original post, answering one of the frequently asked questions:
- This 'book is still under limited 1-yr Apple warranty until September, 2001. Buyer can purchase two more years of AppleCare Protection Plan any time before the 1-yr warranty expires (Outpost $299, Apple $349, look it up on shopper.com for the best deal on AppleCare.)

C'mon folks, I really don't want to put it on ebay! Do a search on Completed Items and see for yourself what a great deal this is!

I set myself a deadline of 6pm Sunday before I put it on ebay.
