My wife is growing tired of the bulk of her current setup and would like to have something smaller on her desk. We discussed getting a flat panel/LCD but figured if we spent a little more we'd end up with a whole computer.

Our soft limit is $500 (we can strech a little). We're open to most PowerBooks (nothing pre USB) and most iBooks (I don't care much for Blueberry or Tangerine, but who am I to turn down a decent offer should one come up?).

Extras are not something I would spend much additional money on since we have PLENTY of peripherals and "bolt-on" extras just laying around.

Any input, information, feedback, offers, etc. are appreciated.

jedi...OMGosh! I completely missed your post. I guess it pays to look a little further down the list, huh?

Anyway, your iBook sounds almost ideal! I'll discuss the prospect with the Council Elder (aka The Wife ) and probably just drop you a line via email sometime later today or tomorrow.
