Does anyone have a registered (legal) copy of Quark XPress they would like to sell?

I have a version 3.32 version. When we upgraded to version 4 we didn't upgrade all our licenses and now only use two of about 8 we used to have and use. That leaves me with about 5-6 we are no longer using.

The installers are on floppies.

This is dishonest, but who cares as long as Quark Inc. is getting $299 for it?

Buy the "competitive upgrade" package for $299. it's actually a FULL version in disguise. Most mail order houses don't even ask you for the PageMaker serial number.

Quark has a policy and form for transferring licenses. They provide this ability. You can find information about it calling their support line and requesting a license transfer form.

Just about every software house has this ability. You transfer the original media and uninstall it from your computers.

Unlike other software companies, Quark asks the buyer of the transferred software the quesiton below:

What is the phone number and address of the seller?

Then Quark does all the "investigation". If it is not valid, Quark will not transfer/update the licensee information in its database.

This is really for the protection of the consumer--if the software company is willing to do the footwork (verification of authenticity), why not?
