This is one smokin' RAID that I, unfortunately, have to sell. I rolled it myself with only the best stuff. This is what's included:
*two 9.1 Ultra-Wide Seagate Barracuda Drives (7200 RPM mechanism)
*one 3.5" Dual-bay RAID enclosure (from Mapower--recommended by the Macgurus)
*one Granite Digital Internal Teflon cable--the best money can buy!
*one Custom 3 foot heavy duty UW 68-68 pin SCSI cable (with beefy AMP connectors)
*one licensed version of SoftRAID 2.2 (the premiere RAID software for the Mac--OS9/G4 compatible)
*one UW Initio Miles PCI Card (with latest firmware--bootable on B&W G3s)
When I rolled this RAID, I wasn't pleased with all of the 'pre-fabbed' packages out there. It seemed that most RAID companies always cut at least one corner (nice drives/cheap cables, etc). This RAID has the highest quality components (awesome drives, industrial strength cables, etc). This is the stuff the MacGurus recommend (www.macgurus.com). In fact, I bought most of the stuff from them.
This RAID works great with I/O intensive applications: video editing, Photo manipulation/processing (Photoshop), digital video/audio.
I would like to sell the whole package (RAID, cable, software, PCI card), but I am open to other offers.
