i just bought my mom a brand new iMac DV 400 64/10gb/CD
it came with OS X and a firewire cable. paid $499.99 at J&R music world in nyc. it's not listed on their website but you can call them 1-800-221-8180 and tell them you saw the ad in the november 4th new york times (as of yesterday they still had inventory). if you live in ny metro area shipping is free. doesnt have dvd and lacks a big drive but for a starter computer that's brand new it's a nice deal. good luck in your search

but I managed to snatch a graphite imac 400/128/13 from ebay for about $530 for my dad.

It also came with a 2 year warantee, microsoft office 2001 cd + liscence, and original box..
