Hey all.

I feel it's about time to move on. I just moved into a new apartment with my lady friend. I am thinking about upgrading to the new iMac that just came out. I am pretty happy with my MBP, but I feel I need to have a larger display as well as something more eye level. I sometimes feel neck strain from looking down at the MBP for extended periods. I am 6'2'' so I guess that could be part of the problem, haha.

I am pretty attached to the MBP, but I don't know if I really need the portability anymore since I am not traveling anywhere anymore since we're living together. Since I am sitting in front of it most of the time. I think I need something that's going to keep my head up and the strain out.
-------

Specs
Proc: 2.33 ghz Intel core 2 duo
Ram: 2gig
Hdd: 120gb
Display: 15'' Matte
Battery: 1 month old - brand new. 38 Cycles.
Optical: Dual layer Superdrive. No issues.
I/O Ports: 2-usb 2.0, 1-firewire800, 1-firewire 400, DVI-Out,ExpressCard/34-slot.

OS: Snow Leopard 10.6.2
-------

-------

-------
The marks on the palm rest are just smudges. Not actual discoloration. Will be clean when purchased.

-------
Lid - No discoloration, lid has no scratches that I know of. The light in the room is what you see on the lid. Not blemishes. - I can take a better photo if you would like me to.

-------

Left side of pal mrest has a little lift. This does not affect performance what so ever. What caused this is from the adhesive they use to keep the top palm rest adhered to the chassis. Can be fixed easily.
------

-------
Right side shows the same sign as the left. Again, just poor adhesive. I do not feel or notice it when using the computer and it's not as large as it looks in the photos.

-------

Asking Price - $975 - shipped. Might be high, but that's a starting price. So I think my price is fair. I am some what flexible though.

Trade options: I would like to look for a - 21.5'' iMac with ATI Radeon HD 4670. I will consider other options. I will be willing to add a little cash or other accessories etc.

sorry to lowball, but best case scenario is that applecare (if you even bought it, no mention in the OP) will run out by the end of june, which means this thing has some miles on it and is only the second revision of the macbook pro lineage.

I'll offer $600 + shipping to 14850. Early MBP's are showing up locally for $600, and this one, while babied seems to be a totally stock iteration of the following MBP-

apple-history.com

Edit: after poking around, it'd worth more like $750-$800 to the 'NN community, and I apologize for bumping this [and being kind of a smartass about it] because that price puts this MBP out of my price range.

Hey,

I apologize for not replying. I wasn't aware that anyone had replied. Things have been slow in the way of offers. You are in no was a smartass. I appreciate the discussion.

I am however looking to get a little more than 600, but I will let you know if I cannot find anything at all. I thought about keeping it and maxing it out as much as possible, but I am not sure yet. I would really like to get a new iMac.

I think you'd have good luck getting $800 for this on eBay or Craigslist
