I would like to buy the full legal version (complete with license key and not the upgrade version) of this software. Anyone have a spare disc? I'm not sure how much to offer so make an offer to me.

Please include shipping to 92407 (CA).

I am not trying to discuss pirated stuff here... but you might be better off with the pirated black edition. I installed it, and it DOES run faster than XP SP2 ever ran. Supposedly it's leaner, faster, more reliable, and just as compatible. Again, not advocating pirated software, or telling you where to get it, just sharing some experience with you.

Well.. once you buy the license, in my opinion, you're free to run a slightly modified version of it if you want to.

Mindwaves, do you go to UCI by chance? Maybe check the student store?... EDU licenses are REALLY cheap...

SP3 is the newest, but IIRC, Microsoft never shipped it on a disc.

Ahh, I see, so an OEM version wouldn't be considered full legal then I suppose.

OEM is legal, but you can only install it on one machine. You're technically not allowed to transfer the license to a new machine if you get a new computer.

Interesting. When I read about SP3 on the M$ website it never mentioned that you could buy it... just talked about how to get it via Windows Update.
