I'm posting this here, because it bothers me most here. Excuse me moderators.

Is there a way to up the definition of a hot post on this board ????
It is getting difficult to determine what the last post was i read with all these hot topics out here. the ratio hot/not hot in the top section of the this forum is like 4:1 these days, at least!!!!

Moderators, might this be in the next maintenance round???????

No, i'm annoyed by 70% of the topics having that red icon.
Now i don't know where the line is between posts i have read (white icon) and new posts (yellow icon).

I just think that it might be a good idea to up the 'hot' requirement from 15 to 30, or something like that. And no one has to dance, i know how busy the macnn ppl are, i'm that busy with my own projects. But if it is an easy configuration option (of which knowing how custimizeble vBulletin is, i'm sure it is) then i would very much appreciate a change to this parameter.

Yeash, a lot of ppl overreact these days.
/me remembers the good old bulletin board days. When there weren't as much whiners here yet. I spent 3 of my last 6 posts defending that i don't demand things, just would like things.

I dunno if you should talk about whiners and overreating when you are getting in a tissy over 70% red icons.

Relax dude.

Since the whole thread is off topic, let's go nuts

Yep, I loves my sushi. I'll eat anything except ikura and uni, but my favorite is good ol' maguro. It's cheap but tasty, and it's hard to do wrong. But sushi is overpriced in general. I think that's partially because of the strict freshness requirements, but also because Japanese food in this country is eaten largely by trendy yuppies with cash to spare.

I too agree with the original poster. He has a valid point, all the hot topics defeat the purpose of having a separate yellow icon for topics with new posts.

However, I think that the best solution would be too have a fourth icon, one for hot topics with new posts. That would be the only way to solve the problem completely.

I wish the mods wouldn't move threads around so much. I mean if something is totally in the wrong category, well thats OK, but when things are iffy, just leave em, don't move them around and around like this. Just let them be. Also yes, having 4 icons is easy, I run a UBB and I have the 4th icon, its right in there, and works fine.
