PC Users and FUD - A way to stop it?

I don't suppose there is a way to block someone on a pc from logging into the forums? I mean, they can read, but not post.
Is there a way to detect a windows browser and just not allow a login?
I for one am getting sick of all the pc jerks coming and posting FUD.
I realize this is drastic, but it would eliminate half the forum's problems in one fell swoop.
Can anyone look into this?

That'd be bad.
I happen to like to be able to moderate the forum from work, or school, or anywhere else where I don't have my laptop or another mac handy.

I already locked a bunch of threads. There are a lot of people who read the forums from Windows machines, and even if it were feasible, making that kind of blanket ban would be totally insane and lock out a lot of our legitimate readership.
