Taking forever

The pages load fine, but anytime one posts anything, it takes forever to get it through.
Is something wrong with the database?

what i'm feeling right now would definitely qualify as "slow as dirt"
probably in large part related to the forum search index rebuild.
i get double the effect, since i have not just the server-side slowdown, but the constant slow traffic to the server >insert minirant about vB here<.
if you want i can turn the forums off till its done to make it go faster

Zim, you've got your RDF turned down dangerously low! do like spliffy and turn it back up quick!
