I'm tired of reading stuff like:

"HELP! My hard drive is gone. I tried to reinstall Jaguar and then I booted into OS 9 with no luck. HELP ME!!!"


There should be guidelines at the top, or better yet, something incorporated into the user profile where the system setup (type of Mac, OS, RAM, HD) must be listed. It would really help to have such information.

yes yes yes.....i mentioned this before too. the posting guidelines used to appear at the top of the forum but have been gone since the switch. the os x forum has gotten really bad - way too many threads that have either nothing to do with x or stuff that should be in the x software forum.

i know moderating the boards isn't easy and takes a lot of time, and we don't want super-strict nazi-rule either....but it seems to me that *some* tightening up could be done.
