Limit max text flow in forums?

Could someone tell me if the following is technically feasable for the boards?:

I'd love to see a preference to constrain the width of the body text in the forums, to guarantee that it always fits within a VGA screen. Reason being that folks LOVE to include IMG tags that overwhelm my poor little powerbook. One example:

I'm sure it's a great thread, but it's impossible to scroll back and forth for every sentence.

Turning off images does solve this problem, but has it's own penalties.

Until we can have a mac browser with a "resize images to fit browser window" option (like IE6 for PC), I'm gonna hope this can be done.
