Don't you? The Lounge is at the top; software is collapsed into one; and different forums for 9 and X. Yippee.I didn't liek the way classic had been banished into its own little corner like nobody used it or referenced it at all. It's very useful. AnywayI like the new layout it's easy to navigate. okthanksby.

I think having the Lounge at the top is strange. This is a Mac Web site; put the Macs at the top. I mean, someone visits here for the first time, and the first thing we want them to see is the Lounge? God I hope not.

They are likely to never come back again.

Yeah, I agree. We've moved the "General" section to the bottom for now (where it was) because site-specific stuff like Feedback, Lounge, Marketplace, etc doesn't make sense as the first category. I think this way is much nicer, but we'll see how people like it.
We've also cleaned up the nasty archive system. We might clean it up a little further, but now the 4 OS X archives are one big "Mac OS X" archive, the iMac archive has been merged back into the iMac forum (since both are relatively small), all the Third-Party Software posts are now in the active forum, and the two Lounge archives have been merged together.
I like it too. Things are looking much cleaner without all that dead weight lying around.
Thanks for your feedback.

Well, great, but when are you going to fix the drop-down menus on the Fourms proper and the MacNN home page?
This happened during the UBB -> vB transfer too. Don't you guys talk to each other?
Amd are you ever going to fix the friggin' Instant vB code buttons?

The drop down menus on the forums have never been broken...and as for the main page, we just updated it. The actual links worked, we just hadn't updated the names yet.
What's wrong with the Instant vB buttons?

He means the missing "Hmm..." and "Errr" icons.
I would also mention all the missing icons in the User CP / Private Messages area, but since I don't want to make the new icons myself, I will not bring them up.

OK, never mind. I think I was seeing the old X-General, X-Software, etc. in my head.

They don't all work, and if we can't change the Font style, why bother having the menus there?

the vbulletin.com site. Let's see if I can post again...

Yay! I'm so glad it was that easy to fix. Whew!
Now, my only comment is that I don't like the new "centered"
text -- I much preferred the old left-aligned categories. It
was much easier to visually scan for titles; now it's taking
five times as long to locate titles.
I find forums by vertically scanning a compact list. Can you
please set up forums.macnn.com like that, closer to the way
it was under UBB? The current layout is too hard to use.
thanks,
-Walter

I don't understand. What's centered? The category titles and forum titles look left-justified in the table to me...
