I don't know whether it affects other people during Summer, but we are using Daylight Saving Time in Australia, and once I log in the MacNN forum, the time stamp is 1 hour out. Is there any setting that can be changed so that the time stamp is shown correctly down under??

change your settings to place yourself in the next time zone over. That will either add or subtract one hour.

Worry not, appeasement-loving infidels! Chirac & Schröder defend the Butcher of Baghdad.

Well in theory this is a good solution.

However, I live in an odd timezone: +930GMT. Therefore, during daylight savings I would switch to +1030GMT timezone... well there isn't one in the settings

I am just living in the middle of Australia where the top of the hour is the bottom of the hour (except for people in India, which also has an odd +xx30GMT timezone)

Any other solution??

They messed it up this summer (Northern Hemisphere) when they switched to vBulletin, and didn't fix it when it was pointed then either. It may be a limitation of the software; that no one at vB is smart enough to realize that Daylight Savings Time exists.

Ignore Atef. He forgot his Ritalin today.

Well, I have to "re-activate" this thread!

After one week of timezone being correctly displayed for folks downunder, I have noticed the time displayed is out by one hour again (only this time it is one hour ahead, instead of one hour behind!)

I guess it has something to do with US on daylight saving this week?

Why can't I have a setting to allow me to manually to put daylight saving on? Not everyone in this planet have the same daylight saving period as US (some place never have daylight saving, some places like in Australia has the daylight saving perios the exact reverse of European summer time period, some places forward the clocks two hours during daylight saving period!)

Not happy, Jane!
